Who is that boy behind those shaggy eyebrows?

Sometimes, there is an amazing surprise that walks in the classroom first thing in the morning. April 1st one of my shyest students came in the room dressed in this outfit. I was so very proud of him for taking the chance, that I just let him wear it as long as he was comfortable. (I have a feeling that bald head was hot, but he made it until lunch...) The other children saw him and then flipped their heads around for a second look. He was calm and cool about it. Even some parents poked their heads in to see his little April Fool's outfit. As long as he was in costume, I called him by a different name. He immediately "got it" and would only answer to the new name. Don't you love it when one small change can put a smile on every face for an entire day? Thanks, "Rian"!
