Thursday/Friday Edition
Car repairs kept the teacher from blogging yesterday, so today's blog will be full of extra interesting material.
Here is our "Book Box" for the Book Fair. We will choose books we'd like to have in our room and we'll put them in the box in case anyone wants to buy them for us during the Book Fair. (Our time to visit the fair during the school day is on Monday if you want to send money. Otherwise, your child may go before/after school.)
We are working on our Classroom Newsletter (Holiday Edition).
We worked with classmates on our articles.
Many groups took surveys, compiled the data, and then wrote a story about the results.
Bet you can't wait to read these when they are hot off the presses!
Guess what is in the library? THE BOOK FAIR!
Ms. G showed us a preview of what books will be available.
Here is the "before" of the library.
I'll include the "after" next week. (If you have never seen a Book Fair at our school, you are in for a big surprise!)
We are collecting "A Handful of Change to Change the World". We bring in change and put it in the jar. The money will go to help our aid, Ms. L, when she goes to Belize over the holidays to help a school secure electricity. So far, we have $23.05. Our class set a lofty goal of $350. We'll see how close we come!
Happy Birthay to E! Both her parents came to lunch with her today (and I did not have my camera.)
