Catching Up...

Guess where the teacher was this weekend? New York City! I had planned a long time ago to see a friend's son in a play. (A good time was had by all.)
The dogs are coming! The dogs are coming! Each February, we use our reading minutes to adopt a dog from O'Brien's Dog Pound. (My sister is fast at work scouring the city for stuffed dogs!) Whoever gets most reading minutes gets first pick, second most minutes gets second pick, and so on. Everyone will get a dog!
We are rehearsing our song for the Special Assembly on Thursday morning at 7:35 am. (Meet in the cafeteria.) SHHHHHHHHHHHH! It is a surprise for Mrs. B's retirement.
R is our Superstar Student of the Week! Come by and see her board. (We only have one more SSotW...)
Looks like these boys are having a little Free Read, Free Write, Free Draw time.....
And so are these boys? I wonder why?
Because only 3 girls are here today! We have 6 students out with fever and/or sore throats. Let's all take extra precautions to stay well!
J and C lost a tooth each yesterday.

J said, "I bit into some frozen chocolate in the morning and my tooth got really loose. It fell out."

C said, " I was wiggling my tooth a lot and I pulled it out." (His came out two minutes after J's! The crowd went wild, apparently.)

Looking ahead:

• Assembly Thursday morning at 7:35 am. (We are performing and you are welcome to come.)
• Student Holidays on Friday and Monday.
• After two weeks, Tulsa schools have finally resumed. I think their make-up days will take them into July.... (Kidding.) (Sort of.)
• Our Snow Make-up Day will be on Memorial Day and will not extend into the summer.

We sure hope to have a full class tomorrow. Get well, Bumblebees!
