Computer today! Your children are very confident and proficient during computer time. I did not have one person ask for help. Way to go, Bumblebees!
We did some benchmark addition/subtraction drills that all the second grade teachers are sharing. I have found that our class is doing VERY well with addition facts to 18, but most students need help in the subtraction facts. Choose drills that emphasize subtraction during nightly math drills.
GR had a very special visitor for lunch today! I am always so blessed to see parents up here visiting.
We also completed a benchmark writing test to share with other second grade teachers, our future third grade teachers and our principal. Our writing skills are really coming along!
Valentine bags are open for business! Please have your child bring Valentines by Friday for the party.A few things you need to know:
- Tomorrow is class picture day. There is a possibility of sleet/ice tonight. Watch the news!
- We began addition with regrouping (carrying) today and we are off to a great start!
