Look what we found in our classroom today: the dogs for our "Dog-Gone Good Readers" contest. Everyone will adopt a dog on Monday, February 28 with reading minutes. (Thank you to my sister, R, for buying these every year!)

Wednesday is Walk/bike/jog/scooter to School Day. Since the weather is finally warmer, C and R got their stickers for walking to school.

Social Studies brought us a lesson on Polar bears and the Arctic. We read an article, responded on it in our response journals, and then watched a short
BrainPop Jr. video on this subject.

We had a very interesting and informative discussion on Global Warming. (Your children bring a lot to the table in these kinds of subjects.)

I honestly have no idea what these guys are doing at recess, but it was too cute a photo op to pass up!

Deep thinkers on the playground.

Spanish Day! Mrs. AL played "
Lotteria" with us. This is Bingo in Spanish. We had to find verbs on our cards.
We still have a few students out. We are being careful to not cough on each other and we wash our hands often.
The Spelling test is tomorrow because there is no school on Friday or Monday. Spelling homework tonight is to use all the spelling words in a story, and underline those words.
Please be in the cafeteria at 7:35 am! We will be performing our show-stopping original composition of "Retirement" (to the tune of "New York, New York") for Mrs. B's retirement assembly. Come if you can; we always love having you!
