It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like.....

Valentine's Day!

Tomorrow is our class party. Today we prepared by delivering cards to Valentine bags we made earlier in the week. (Can't wait to open them!)

We made special bookmarks that Mrs. O laminated.
We made special secret cards....maybe you will get one!
We did a long math drill. We colored in all the answers on a 100 chart and it made a special message. (Only thing? They purposely left out one number on the answer chart to be sure we were adding the right numbers and not just coloring in a pattern!) Ask your child what the secret message spelled out.
We LOVE free reading time in our classroom!
Library Day!
Guess what? Mrs. G is a published author! Here is her new book. It is called "Camp Summer Read".
She read us a book with a surprise message. Then, she handed out copies of pictures from the book without words.
We had to put them in order by remembering the story. (You'll be glad to know, we were able to do it completely right!)

In the story, the girl forgot to make Valentines for her friends. Mrs. G decided to make Valentines for every K-2 student in our school as a good example of being a sharing, caring person.

Please remember:
  • Mrs. O will be out tomorrow for a funeral.
  • Meet in the cafeteria in the morning for an assembly.
  • Tomorrow is the last day to bring your Valentine cards.
  • The party is tomorrow afternoon at 2:00.
  • Looking ahead: Friday, February 18 and Monday, February 21 are student holidays.
  • Thanks for being so prompt in letting me know your conference needs. I appreciate it!
