2011 Resolutions! (Well...some of them, anyway!)

I was loading our pictures on Blogger and a pop-up page informed me that we have exceeded our limit of memory for photographs on this blog. (More memory is available... at a cost, of course.) I will be looking into this over the weekend to see how I can solve this little problem and continue our blog at this web address.

I was able to upload a few pictures, so I'll share those resolutions with you. The students chose to write resolutions in the areas of: myself, my family and my school. The sentences had to be a series of three ideas connected by commas. The results were pretty outstanding for second graders, even if I do say so myself!

I will take out the garbage more often, I will give more money to Belize, and also I will take out the recycling box more often.

I will not go so fast around the house, I will help clean up, and I will help put away stuff in the attic.

I will learn to do 60 second math drills,I will help Luca by doing the "no hands" rule, and I will clean up the classroom for the custodians.
I will help my friends when they get hurt, I will make my bed so my mom does not have to, and I will put the recycling in the bin.

I will take care of Liam so my mom can work, I will help my grandma feel great, and I will read to my little brother while my mom is gone.

I will do my best work at school, I will take my time, and I will check my work.
I will not yell at my brother when he breaks my Lego sets, I will have a good attitude, and I will play something besides football at recess.

I will read to my brother so my Dad doesn't have to, I will not whine about going to church so my Mom will not get angry, and I will do the dishes.

I will clean up trash on the floor, I will not talk on the classroom carpet, and I will stop trying to be first in line.
I will go to bed earlier because I need sleep to grow, I will read more often so I can get better at reading, and I will clean up my room.

I will help my mom do the dishes, I will listen, and I will do what my mom wants me to do.

I will listen to Mrs. O'Brien, I will eat what my mom gives me, and I will get better at math.
LA did a special interview with his dad. I would like to share it here:

I interviewed my dad, JA, about his job. My dad works at J******* P**** (part of Disney). He was the Lead Animator for the Epic Mickey video game. The video is about Mickey and Oswald fighting against villains. This game is different than others because it has different endings. My dad likes Mickey Mouse because he is a hero. He likes all kinds of entertainment, and he thinks that video games are a good "some of the time" activity, just like playing outside is.
