We worked on story maps. They contain the characters, setting, problem/solution and an exciting ending. We are all going to write a fiction story about dogs.
We did research by reading books about dogs and examining the setting, characters, problem/solution and ending!
We made a story board about the dog book we read.
We read one dog story as a class and made a class story board about the book.
Tomorrow we will write our own fictional stories about dogs. Can't wait!
Remember that tiny flower? It looks like it will bloom this week and will have at least two blossoms!
In Social Studies, we talked about heroes. What makes a hero? We decided it was someone who did something that inspired us to be better people. We all chose a hero in our lives.
First we told who they were and what they did.
Next, we wrote three reasons why they were our heroes.
We self edited, then peer edited our pieces.
We did such a nice job on these pieces that Mrs. O is going to type them up so we can illustrate them tomorrow!
Remember: The school wide daily math drills start tonight. You can find good math drill websites on the right sidebar of this blog, on the homepage of our class page on the school website, or on the website listed on a sticker in the agenda. The same link is also found here.
