Kill the Fatted Calf...The Prodigal Blog Has Returned!

I am nothing if not persistent. (And maybe I have a little too much time on my hands.) I hand deleted 1,000 pictures from the 2008-2009 school year portion of the blog. (Far be it from Blogger.com to let you delete just the posts or the entire picture albums they store in Picasa Web Albums. No, no. You have to delete the pictures one. at. a. time.) We should have picture storage for the rest of the year, so let's get rolling!

Friday we presented the kick-off assembly for the school wide BookSpring Read-a-thon.

Here our favorite librarian, Ms. G, is on stage showing the trophy our school has won five years in a row for raising the most money for the cause. Last year our school's total was $22,000. If we raise that much again this year, Ms. G will greet us from the roof of the school after the win!
We did a marvelous job of singing "R-E-A-D" (to the tune of YMCA) to help inspire everyone to read and raise money to put books into the hands and homes of children who do not have any.
