The Magic of Ordinary Days

Today was "Make the Movement Day" across campus. Our PE teacher played "movement" music during announcements, and you should have seen our room dancing!
We know that exercise can be fun, and can take place anywhere!
There was a conference being held in the library today, so a sub for Ms. Gooch came to our class to read us some books. Guess what? One of the authors was a former Gullett student: she was at our school when she was in second grade!
Oh. Look at this: another Top Secret assignment.
We are making some pretty special things for the Moms in our room.
We know that we give our best when we make a gift.
I wish I'd be there to see you open these presents on Sunday.
(If you're serving gingerbread pancakes, give me a call and I'll come right over.)
Today was Cindo de Mayo. Our Spanish teacher and the third grade put on an awesome production.
Here we are waiting for the crowd to arrive.
This program was informative and fun!
A special guest played Cinco de Mayo tunes on his guitar. Here he is being introduced by our Spanish teacher, Ms. Anna Louisa.
The crowd was very involved in the music. I kept looking for lighters or cell phones to be waved. (Just wondered if you were reading along here...)
Two of our students were chosen as volunteers to come up on the stage and dance.
Wish you could have seen them! They had the crowd laughing, clapping and cheering. Way to go, Romi and Emma!

My hands may be full this time of year with all this extra energy...but so is my heart. Your children are such blessings!
