Fun, Fun Friday!

Look what flew onto my desk this morning. Thank, EM. It was yummy!
The chicks are still hatching and drying out.
This little guy is beginning to emerge.
Today, we broke into assigned book groups. Everyone had a copy of "The Book Report From the Black Lagoon".
As a group we filled in a "Book Club Journal" that included the following tasks:

• Keeper of the Facts (characters, setting, problem or situation.

• Expert Illustrator (illustrate and caption)
• Word Detecive (2 unfamiliar/interesting words and definitions)

• Storyteller (Summarize the chapter; who, did what, when, where, why)

• Story Forecast (Predict what will happen next (who, will do what, when, why)

We also made a list of what makes a group work together well. Here is the result:

• Decide things together.
• Wait patiently for each other.
• Compromise.
• Agree.
• Don't leave anyone out.
• Don't rush.

Next, we made a list of things that DON'T make a group work well.

• Ignoring each other.
• Doing different things.
• Not agreeing.
• Not helping each other.
• One person doing all the work.
• Walking away and doing the work by yourself.
• Looking at other groups' work and copying.

We know that next year when we are put into different classes we can be the STRONG members of other classes!
