Graphing With 10 Days to Go...

Today we had to combine all our knowledge of graphing.
We had to collect data to find out how many birthdays occurred each month.
We had to come up with a strategy for how to be sure we had everyone's birthday. Most people decided to use people's initials to be sure they got everyone on the chart.
This information was compiled and put on a bar graph. We did a marvelous job!
Our next challenge was a graph for all the teeth we have lost this year. The information was given to us for the calendar year (January-December). We had to put it on a graph that showed a school year (August-May). There was no data for June and July because we are not in school losing teeth!
We were given a template to make our squares uniform on the bar graph.
How many teeth did we lose in our class this year? 33!
We had to examine the data from this graph. The month we lost the most teeth was March (6 teeth). The months we lost the least teeth were August and October (1 each).

Next, we will examine the data to see who lost the most teeth in the room.

Today was our last day to have Ms. AL for Spanish.
Tomorrow our class will go to the Half Price Book Fair during Library period. You may send money if you want to. ALL LIBRARY BOOKS ARE DUE ON FRIDAY.
