Today, we walked to Northwest Park for a field trip. The older grades were taking the TAKS test. This gave them quiet on the campus, and it gave us time to conduct some Science and Social Studies stations.

Ms. Denega led us in parachute activities.

And also in tug-of-war games.

Ms. Backhaus helped us create landforms.

Ms. Nichols' station included bubbles...

...and chalk drawing.

Break for lunch! (We also had a station with Ms. O'Brien. We performed a "Matter Rap" and completed a word search for vocabulary about matter.)

Ms. Allin had us examining the pond.

We had time on the playground, and before we left we had tug-of-war competitions between the classes.

The mighty Bumblebees did a great job.

Soon, it was time to walk back to school.

I know that your children will sleep well tonight!
Thanks for all the parents who came and helped out.
NOTICE: No homework tonight since some backpacks were locked in the classroom. Take a night off on me. :)
