Olivia came in today with another tooth missing! This brings our total this year to 43 lost teeth!

I love seeing the creative ideas your children come up with for spelling. Last night, Erik used stickers to spell out his words and he said it took an hour! Finding different ways to do the spelling homework helps us to learn our words even better.

We are working hard to be more like a second grade class. Today, we had open math centers.

We talked about making sure we were choosing math activities that were meaningful. Bella and Eliana are giving each other math problems to solve on whiteboards.

These girls wrote big numbers they called out and used calculators to check addition work.

These boys wanted to work with plane shapes and build figures with them.

This group worked with solid figures to made structures.
I will be out on Thursday and Friday (NEW YORK CITY!!!), but Ms. Hallock will do a wonderful job with in classroom.
Thank you for being such loyal readers of our classroom blog. In the next day or so, we will exceed 11,000 hits for the year!
