Fascinating Show and Tells today: Bella made some sandpaper using sand and tape. What a great invention!

Jake's grandmother sent our class an email with a picture of the bean that Jake planted in Science. It is now planted at home and has produced a bean!

April Reading Contest results are in: Our class read for a total of 14, 897 minutes (which is 247 hours or 9 days!) These students read for over 1,000 minutes each. Everyone got a prize from the class store, and Mrs. O'Brien gave every student a copy of her favorite book "Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse" (with a dedication written in purple!) Way to read, first grade Bumblebees!

We went back to our tables to finish a Top Secret Project which may or may not include Mother's Day.

We enjoyed our prizes and our new books.

Bet you can't wait to see the gift we are making for Mother's Day.

Tomorrow is the field trip to the Christmas Tree Farm. Your child will need:
- yellow class shirt
- comfortable walking shoes
- completely disposable lunch and drink
- sunscreen put on before coming to school if you think it is needed
Parents who are going will carpool and give $2.50 to Gracie's mom for entrance. The children will be riding on buses. Have a great time!
