See this empty playground? Today is the TAKS test and we are helping out our friends in the higher grades by keeping the campus quiet until testing is over.
The only special class allowed today was P.E. We were "lucky ducks": we were scheduled for PE today!
Hmmmmm. Wouldn't you love to try cup stacking?
Today we had to write a dedication for our portfolio. We had a guest helper via cell phone. Mrs. O'Brien called her daughter in Pennsylvania and Katy composed a dedication for her mom! Mrs. O'Brien wrote Katy's words on the board and it was a great example of a dedication.
We all wrote rough drafts of our dedications.
We read them to Mrs. O'Brien and she typed them on the computer.
We took them back to our desks and decorated them.
Portfolios coming your way next weekend! Bet you can't wait...Spelling Test is tomorrow because the field trip is Friday. (Wash those yellow class shirts, because you will need them again.)
Book Orders are going home tonight. This will be your last chance to buy some summer reading material.
