Wednesday of Earth Week

It is Earth Week. We are trying to find out ways we can help keep the Earth a clean and wonderful place to be.
Tomorrow is Earth Day. We will be looking for opportunities to keep our campus "green".
Today in library, Ms. Gooch read us books about how to accomplish "green" living on an every day basis.
We started our research reports today! Everyone has selected the animal they want to do a report on, and checked out a book about this animal.
Today we learned how to read and keep notes on Post-It notes.
The first part is a general description of our animals.
We will also include:
  • Table of Contents
  • Photo and caption of animal
  • Description of animal
  • Diagram of animal with labels
  • Close-ups of animal
  • Comparison of animal to another animal
  • Description of animal's habitat (where it lives, eats, drinks and raises young)
  • List of what animal eats
  • How animal's babies are born (live, eggs)
  • Enemies of animal
  • How it protects itself from predators
  • 3 fun facts about animal
