Another Terrific Tuesday!

L's dad has a very exciting job: he is a lead animator for a new DS video game that will be released in a few weeks. He got to go to Disneyworld last weekend to help with publicity on the game's release. He got us all a Mickey sucker. We feel sure he is also going to secure us all free tickets to the park. FIELD TRIP! :)

EDITED TO ADD: This is a joke. Sort of.
"I" just returned from Indianapolis where the fall leaves are amazing. He brought some colorful ones to show and had a Gingko leaf for each of his classmates.
In computer today, we worked on Thanksgiving cards.

We will be using these special turkeys as part of our pre-lunch presentation on Thursday.
Parents: Remember, we will have the Thanksgiving luncheon on Thursday. Please come to our room at 10:30 am for an exciting play, followed by a great turkey meal at 10:48!
Our Science investigation involved "Spinners". Here we are working on our Interactive Notebooks in Science. Things we learned include:

• Wheels roll down a slope.
• A slope is a surface that is higher on one end.
• Axles support wheels.
• Wheel-and-axle systems with wheels of different sizes roll toward the smaller wheel.

In our notebook, we illustrated and labeled our experiments and completed the following open-ended sentences:

I learned...

I observed...

I wonder...
