At our assembly, E got her birthday book. (We will celebrate her birthday this week on Tuesday.)

Oh, look! District Guy back to replace sprung screen. "Don't mind me," he says as he drills and hammers during reading period. (But, thank you, District Guy: we love our new screen that rolls all the way up so it does not hide a section of the alphabet and Word Wall. He also fixed our "Number of the Day Board" without even being asked!)

After lunch, we went to the Science Fair. Third grade teacher, Ms. S, gave us the grand tour.

The fifth graders made interactive Glogs as their portion of the Fair.

Ms. S showed C his brother's Glog on Glogster.

These students enjoyed looking at links and getting good ideas for when
they are fifth graders.

A and J also located their brothers' Glogs.

The third graders contributed prototypes of helpful inventions.

The fourth graders performed experiments for the Science Fair. Here, C, is looking at his sister's project.

And a good time was had by all!

Back at the classroom, we worked on the Table of Contents for our Biographies.
(We can't wait to show them to you! There was, however, a very unfortunate event, so the Biographies may not arrive home until after Thanksgiving break. You see, we had a wee bit of trouble using a small amount of Elmer's glue when gluing our cover illustrations to construction paper. Mrs. O continued to remind us that paper is very light and a drop of glue would do, but the lure of squeezing puddles of glue was just too much. So, when Mrs. O went to laminate the covers, said glue leaked out into the laminating machine rollers causing all the covers to get wound inside the machine. She was not able to successfully remove the glue covered covers. They are toast, people. Toast. We'll have to remake our covers--with DROPS of glue--and laminate them when the District Guy finishes repairing the laminator. Hopefully before the other teachers find out the covers fused inside the machine belong to the Bumblebees and their teacher...)
Have a good weekend. Carry on.
