...so the blog is still on time!
Let's review Friday's activities.

With Daylight Savings Time giving us light before school, and the Butterfly Garden giving us a beautiful place to visit, many families are coming in early to enjoy all the special corners of our school. Here E and her mom look over the bunny hutch.

Erik and Mrs. R visit the turtle enclosure.

Our turtles draw quite a crowd before school!

C's Mom shows the little brother formerly known as the Window Washer some new friends in the hall.

C holds the bunny for L to pat. Pat the Bunny. That would make a good name for a children's book...

Here is the school cat, Gulley, held by his personal valet, Mr. N.

Today's Turtle Wranglers (the bell has rung; the school day has begun) for Friday were J and J. C was today's guest photographer.

C got some very artsy shots of our Turtle Wranglers today.

For E's spelling homework was spelled out in paper clips and emailed to the teacher for printing. We love technology in our room!

J wrote his words in a scary manner and burned the edges of his paper for extra effect.

J made a pirate map with his words, burned the edges and wrote sentences using the words on the back.

Lunch time! G had two special guests bring her lunch today. Little brother, B, always has a lot of new information to share with us.

Counselor time was spent in the counselor's office today.

We finished working on little skits we began the lest counselor's session.

Every group had a different subject to present to the classroom.

Skits were based on ways to avoid peer pressure.

Good ideas were had by all.

Here is the strategy the counselor shared with us for problem solving.

Here was the first skit on how to avoid peer pressure. Great job, Bumblebees!
Hope you had a great weekend. I have appointments tomorrow that will keep me out of the room. Our sub will be Mrs. H.
Don't forget: tickets for the Thanksgiving Luncheon on Thursday must be purchased by Monday. (Please plan to come at 10:30 am Thursday to the classroom: we have a short but VERY special presentation planned for you!)
