This week's Superstar Student is E. She did a wonderful job of presenting her board. Please come by and see it this week if you can.

L had an announcement to make this morning: he will be moving to another school. His last day in Bumblebee Land is Friday, November 12. We will really miss him, but we are glad for his new opportunity.

Oh, look! Two "Diary of a Wimpy Kid"' fans!

Mrs. O gives up: the carpet has been kicked to the curb...uh...ramp. We are not allowed to fold it or cut it, but it is too big for the floor area. We are tired of tripping on it, so we are coming up with new strategies for a floor covering.

Mrs. J was not in computer today, so Mrs. O was in charge. We worked on websites that allowed us to hone our money counting skills.

G and E were in charge of feeding and tending the turtles today. (Guest photographer: JA)

In Science, we gathered materials for a final project on balance.

We made mobiles!

This was not as easy as we thought it would be: we have to carefully find the balance point and the put the counterbalances in just the right places.

Here are our finished products! Great job, Bumblebees!

Next, we wrote in our interactive Science notebooks our final notes. We filled in the sentences with Scientific things that we learned, observed and wondered about balance; then we drew our mobiles.

Do you know what today is? POCKET DAY! We've been in school for 50 days. Can you believe it?

We collected our pocket data.

You might notice several people wore their coats inside to add to the pocket count!

If you are a fan of Michael Jackson, you may have an advantage on pockets.
Pocket King today: E (see above) and Pocket Queen: O (freshly back from an exciting trip to New York!)

Garden Day! Mrs. R and Mrs. D came and helped us work in our garden. Looks like the front will push some rain through to water our plants.
Don't forget: notes on Mom are due tomorrow for our biographies!
