WOW! What a Wednesday!

Yesterday afternoon was gardening day. Guess what we are growing?
A pizza garden! We are growing ingredients to put on pizzas.
ER's grandmother came all the way from Michigan to help us plant..and maybe to see ER as well.
Here we are during "Read to Self" time this morning. WOW! We love reading and would probably read all day if Mrs. O let us.
Guess who observed our room today? Miss Haley! (Remember she was our aide last year when she was a senior in high school? She is now attending Texas A&M to be a teacher! She took so many dual credit classes in high school that she will be a junior at the end of May!) She will visit again on Friday to fulfill some requirements of her education classes.
LA is still working on telling jokes. Today's joke was: Why did the scientist break the doorbell? (Answer: So he could win the NO-BELL prize!)
Guess who had a birthday today? The great state of Texas turned 175! We made Happy Birthday cards.
JF had his MJ glove handy for recess.
Here we are after we walked the track. We were thinking of strategies so we will not get a yellow in the cafeteria again for noise and shenanigans.
For a special treat, we went to Mrs. N's first grade room to hear a story about Davy Crockett who fought at the Alamo. This was a major battle that led to the independence of Texas from Mexico's rule. Remember the Alamo? See if your child can tell you some facts about it.

Individual spring pictures were sent home today. Class pictures should come soon.

Don't forget the Silent Auction on Saturday at 6:00 pm. (Students will have movie/game time during the auction.)
