How Much Fun Can You Pack Into a Day?

Let's start with the best part of our day: Elliot's grandmother, Dee Dee, came to read to our class. She hosted a question and answer period after reading us books about grandmothers, jokes and President Obama. (We think she came all the way from Michigan just to see US.)
Birthday books for Jake and Romi were given out at the assembly.
Cade brought a motorized figure for show and tell.
Jake lost another tooth. He swallowed it while eating chicken nuggets.
Behind the scenes at the class/individual picture shots.
We waited for our turns patiently.
These should be great shots!
Here we are getting ready for our class shot.
We finished up our unit on "Me on the Map" with an Exploration Station of maps, atlases and puzzles of maps. Enjoy the pictures below.

I hope you have a great weekend.
Please remember that we are taking up donations for gift cards to put in our classroom's gift basket for the auction.
(And don't forget to read! It's the last weekend to pile up reading minutes for your chance at adopting a dog from "Mrs. O'Brien's Puppy Pound" at the Reading Celebration next Friday!)
(And would anyone be interested in knowing that I just bought tickets for a trip to Ireland the week after school is out? :) Woo Hooooooo! )
