We had Friday and Monday off, so we took a little extra time to get back into our routine today. Don't you love how even small things are special to first graders?

A leaf shaped like Bevo.

Playing with pals on the playground.

Trying to win the Silver Spoon award for good lunchroom behavior. (This is our chart: we try to make a 5 each day!)

This is what the teacher saw when she came to pick up her students from lunch. (This was definitely worth a 5!)

So glad for the sunshine!

Chatting with friends.

Waiting in line for an after-recess drink of water.

Looking over facts about Washington and Lincoln.

Listening carefully.

Waiting on the floor for the teacher to read.

Centers today: writing our spelling words with new glo-gel pens.

Lincoln's log cabin, complete with penny in the window.

Deciding which words describe Abraham Lincoln.

Introducing our new library section! (Thanks, Mrs. Auburn for helping me set it up!)
And a good day was had by all!
