We HEART School

One of our challenges is to take letters and spell out sentences. Can you read this one?
The free-choice spelling homework is awesome and the spelling grades have improved so much! We've had several weeks where everyone in the class made 100! Today we had painted words, words done on a computer program, words typed out and illustrated, and (the ever popular) "The dog ate my homework" spelling page. (Ask your child about that one!)
Bella brought her look-alike doll for show and tell.
Thomas brought a Star Wars action figure for show and tell.
Cade's mom brought our class a set of 8 "How to Draw" books. We used them in centers today. Everyone chose one drawing to copy and then wrote a sentence about it in their journals.

Remember:

• Read-a-thon envelopes are due tomorrow. If some of the money is in the mail, note it on the envelope and return it anyway so your child can get credit for it. (Send money when it comes in.)
• I will be out for training tomorrow. Ms. Carolan will be our sub.
• Valentines and goodies for the party are due Thursday.
• Book orders are due tomorrow. (You may also order online.)
• Library books due bright and early (7:45 am) tomorrow.

Look for a special gift coming home in your child's backpack. (They HEART you, too!)
