Catching Up...

As promised, here is the carrot picked from our classroom garden yesterday.
C lost a tooth the hard way: by taking it for the team at his baseball game. He was our hero all day for a ball taken to the face with such bravery.
Earth Day Celebrations: These girls walked to school or wore a cute E.D. t-shirt.
Honest E found this money on the playground a month ago. He turned it into the lost an found in the office. When it went unclaimed, it was returned to him to keep! Honesty is always the best policy.
We went on a Earth Day walk around our school to see how many ways we keep Gullett Elementary "green".
We looked for ways we reduce, reuse and recycle.
We made a loooooooooooong list when we were done!
Mrs. O was in a hurry to leave on Tuesday because....
...look who was waiting for her at the airport! Her daughter K is here from Pennsylvania for a week. Woo hoo!
Egg Day "Eggs-periments"! How do you tell a raw egg from a hard boiled one? Ask your child for the correct answer.
We broke into groups and tested our predictions and theories. Then, we broke the eggs to see if we were right. (We were!)
Look what walked by as we went outside today!
Cracking the eggs and examining the insides.
Yum, yum. My grandmother would have said that this sight would "put you off your feed."
Later, like Ramona, we cracked eggs on our heads.
(Don't worry, parents: they were confetti-filled eggs!)
Everyone had to create a routine and perform it for the rest of the class.
And a good time was had by all!
Happy Holiday!
