Happy April Fool's/Bee Day

When the students came in this morning, there was a word search for morning work. No one seemed to be able to find any of the words.
Mrs. O offered a cash reward to the student who found the most hidden words. Diligent work was done for about 10 minutes. April Fools! There were no hidden words in the puzzle. (And PS: Parents: there is an April Fool's Day trick in the agenda today.....)
ARGH! Someone put a spider on my desk today. LA came read for April 1!
Queen of Show-and-Tell Emma Kate had her father's pocket watch. It will someday become hers, is not made of real gold, but cost a lot of money.
King of Show-and-Tell, JM, found some crystals while camping and had quite a collection to share!
Today, we celebrated the teacher's Bee Day. (Get it, Bumblebees?) I let each student take a picture of me and promised to put the best one on the blog. You should see the out takes...
And here is a whole lot of happiness! The students and parents showered me with "Bee"-day cards, gifts and flowers. Thank you all for making today such a special one for me!
