What did you do this weekend? The teacher supervised an Easter Egg Hunt for 300. She needed to come back to school to rest today!

The Flat Stanleys are pouring in! C's host home made a booklet of his Stanley's visit. There was a letter, information and pictures all beautifully displayed in a folder.

G's Flat Stanley visited Colorado and had a wonderful time!

E's Flat Stanley went to Florida!

L's Flat Stanley visited his grandparents in the Washington D.C. area, and even got to drive a boat on the Potomac!

Our favorite librarian, Ms. G., came by our room today and we presented her with our Librarian Appreciation Week's basket of goodies. She was at the Texas Librarian Association convention last week, so we saved her gift. (PS: She lead a group of librarians in a drill team dance with library carts as props...and won first place! You go, Ms. G!)

The caterpillars have grown so much since last week. We were all amazed!

Still measuring. Today we worked on estimating what should be measured in inches, feet or yards. We also estimated items that would be centimeters, meters and kilometers using the metric system. Can your child find something that is about one inch, one foot, one yard, one centimeter and one meter?

Look who came to visit today! J's grandparents are in from New Jersey this week and stopped by to see our classroom. We love it when family drops by for a visit.
No spelling this week. No school on Friday. We are working on our insect research and it is going to amaze you when you see the finished product.
30 more days in our wonderful journey through second grade. We are going to enjoy every minute of it. We are running the race to win, all the way to the end!
