Green Acres and Junie B.

Second grade lessons can be a mixed lot sometimes. Actually, MOST of the time.

I was not here Friday, so he showed his Spelling homework: he used different fonts to write his words.
G was also out Friday. Her Spelling home work was in the form of a flip book! You flip through it and the letters are added!
C is our Superstar Student of the week. He created a wonderful board and gave a great presentation. Come by and see this if you can: the details are super!
Mrs. O is reading Junie B. Jones books by Barbara Park this week. We made a choice of the one we would like for her to read first, and then we graphed our choices.
Book #1 was (literally) off the chart!
Guess what happened at 10:15 am? A fire drill! We were ready and did a great job.
Guess what happened at recess? We all got a yellow warning at our tables during lunch. We made three laps of the recess grounds and came up with individual strategies of what we could do tomorrow to stay on green in the cafeteria.
We glanced out the window to see our Garden Mom, Mrs. R, getting a planter ready for our beans.
Look at all these wonderful things she has for us to use!
We went outside for a Garden Orientation. Our plot is the fourth one from the gate.
Some of us took a tour of the other beds...
while students 1-6 began the planting. (Next Monday 7-12 will plant, and the following Monday 13-18 will plant.) We will use some of our plants to feed the Second Grade Turtles!

Parents: There was a misprint on the calendar: The second grade field trip is NEXT Thursday.
