Not Monday, But Tuesday
Yesterday was a student holiday, so today kind of feels like Monday to us...
E is our Superstar Student of the Week. She did a marvelous job on her poster and her presentation.
Guess what? Mrs. O was out on Friday and the chrysalis opened and out came a Swallowtail butterfly! The substitute let the class release it into the sky.
In computer, we finished our math sheets. We had to find shapes and math problems in the real world.
Sometimes we work together,
and sometimes we work by ourselves in computer class.
Today we did our final observation of the four plants. (One without air, one without water and one without light. The final plant, our control plant, received all three.)
The results? Only the plant receiving water, air and light thrived.
The girls made up a song at recess that they wanted to share with the class. We went to the teaching garden and they sang to us about doing good deeds.
Today was our day to care for the turtles. A and B cleaned and watered the area and fed the turtles.
LOOK! Mrs. P, and her loyal assistant Mrs. M, finished painting the gecko table for outside our room. Thank you so much! We love it!!!
Day 40=Pocket Day! We predicted the amount of pockets in the classroom, took a survey and calculated the final result. We had to show our work and our strategy. Students with the most pockets today were: Pocket King E and Pocket Queen EK.
E made a plaque for our section of the second grade garden. Can you find the bumblebees hidden in it? (Thanks E!)
Mrs. R took the next 6 students out to plant in the garden today. Next week the final students will put in their plants. Can't wait to see what will come up!
