Welcome Back!

Welcome back! It sounds like everyone had a great Spring Break. While we were gone, you celebrated St. Patrick's Day by wearing green, celebrated Daylight Savings Time by setting the clock ahead one hour and celebrated the beginning of Spring with freezing weather. These are confusing times for teaching about the seasons.

(And since our classroom clock does not "spring ahead" by itself, it read 6:30 am when school began this morning.)

On to more exciting things. Connor brought a Star Wars Lego ship with Darth Vader and his light saber.
Cade brought a ruler with all the presidents on it. It was given to him by his grandmother.
Bella brought some beautiful rocks bought on her Spring Break trip to Big Bend.
Alena got to go to Mrs. O'Brien's dream location: the Mall of America in Minnesota! She got to spend the week with her grandmother there. They have an indoor roller coaster!
Thomas got to go to Target and buy some Yu-gi-oh cards after his trip to Disneyland in California.
Erik brought back an alligator's head from Florida.
And...Happy Birthday to Thomas! His birthday fell over Spring Break so we celebrated it in the classroom today.
More lost teeth: Olivia, Emma and Ian all lost teeth over Spring Break.

We are all so glad to be back! Report cards go home on Wednesday. Book Bags are due as soon as possible so I can send new ones home.
