Back to School Tonight!

Yesterday in Spanish class, Ms. AL began teaching us the story of "The Three Little Pigs" in Spanish. Ask your child to tell you as much of the story in Spanish as possible.
Guess who paid a visit to our room last night? Deskarina! She found some desks not quite ready for Open House tonight.
She left shiny pencils on the desks that were neat and tidy.
R was the first person to enter the room this morning and find out that Deskarina had left her a little treat for her clean desk.
Every morning when C's little brother drops him off, he wipes off the window and peeks in the room. We all laugh, and this morning I was ready with my camera!
Today in library we talked about the Preamble to the Constitution. "Pre" means what comes before. The Preamble comes before the Constitution.
Ms. G read us a book called "We the Kids" (instead of "We the People"...get it?) that broke the constitution down into kid friendly language.
One thing it noted was that we wanted these freedoms to be available for all generations. One of the students asked Ms. G if she had a picture of how she looked when she was younger. Ms. G whipped this picture out of a family shot from 20 years ago.
Next, we got to go to a one day Book Fair in the library.
The Book Fair will be available during Open House tonight and will return in December.
So many books; so little time.
Spelling homework is optional tonight since we will be here until later than usual. We will have our spelling test tomorrow, however, so be sure your child knows the words.
