Tuesday...But it Feels Like Monday!

Today we got a shot of C's family. His little brother, L, just got his first haircut!
E came in dressed for work in the Bumblebee classroom...

...and here is a close up of her earrings!
E came in with a big surprise: he lost another front tooth! E is the only person on the lost tooth graph for this year. I wonder who will be next?
The new books are out for September! These are books about fall and apples.
Mrs. D's class came over from next door to work on the "I Pick" song. (We are really doing a good job at picking "just right" books!)
In computer, we learned how to get to Learning.com. You can access this from home with your child's login and password.
We carefully used our codes and clicked on to Learning.com.
We are working with an interactive program that teaches us how to use our computers and accessories.
There are lessons on such things as keyboards, the mouse, the printer and how to change things on the screen.
We are very careful to pay close attention to detail in computer.
Today in Math, we filled in a 100-chart assessment. (Everyone made 100!) Then we played games with 100 tiles with partners.
We used 100 charts for place value drills. A partner would say a number; we would find it and cover it with a cube. Our partner would check our work, and then it would be the other person's turn to call out a number 1-100.
Working as teams teaches us teamwork. When we work with others, we get many good and new ideas. If we always work with the same person, we do not get as many new ideas. Mrs. O encourages us to work with a different partner every time we have an activity.
This team finished their 100 tile game first. Way to work together, Bumblebees!

I have begun giving TPRI tests this week (Reading Inventories.) We were sorry that EK was home sick and hope she gets well SOON!

Having Monday off was fun, but we thought it was Monday all day long!
