Weekend Updates

C's Mom and little brother brought by snacks and favors to help celebrate C's birthday on Friday.
(You may recognize his little brother, L, as the "window washer" in our classroom each morning. Ask your child about it!)
Everyone was so polite and thankful for the snacks and the treats. Hope you had a very Happy Birthday, C!

PS: Many of you are asking where my son is in his cross-country bike ride. Well, the short answer is: back in Austin! He made it to the other side of Flagstaff, Arizona (1100 miles!) when he texted that they'd run out of money. Apparently they had a return ticket in their pockets for such a circumstance as that. (And apparently he had listened to my sage wisdom that there was a desert in Arizona that might be difficult to cycle across...) Anyway, he is home but is visiting his girlfriend before he swings by to see me. When he was in second grade, I was his first choice. Hold them close, Moms and Dads. Someday? You, too, will find yourself farther down the line of who gets contacted after the triumphant trip... :)

Congratulations to Chris! I'm glad he made it home safely.

This evening E asked me to sleep with her, and after much contemplating, I realized that all too soon, those requests will be gone. I'll be snuggling up with her soon = )
